Politicians join legal fight to reopen places of worship

In a bold move against the government’s continued closure of places of worship as a measure to curb the spread of COVID-19, two prominent politicians have stepped forward to challenge the restrictions. Evelyne Naikoba, a key petitioner in the case, alongside Ms. Alice Alaso, the national coordinator for the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT), and Nakawa East MP Ronald Balimwezo Nsubuga, filed a petition before the Constitutional Court last week.
